The Advantages Of Getting Backyard Swimming Pools

Backyard swimming pools are great for people on their own or those with families. With the coming of summer, it couldn't be any timelier to get one installed in your house. A pool isn't a senseless investment. For one, it can help you beat the heat. But more than that, it offers a lot of other impressive advantages that should more than make up for what they cost.

With a pool accessible in your own house, you don't have to go anywhere else for a relaxing, fun time. That not only saves you money, but effort as well. Whether morning or night, you have the benefit of being able to satisfy your craving for a cooling swim. You don't have to worry about carrying a load of stuff with you to a public pool, or sharing the space with a bunch of kids and adults. You can just take out a pool floater, take a dip and then lie out on top of the water with a drink in hand, and chill out for a few minutes. You can even make this a daily routine if you want, because with your very own pool, you have a personal oasis at your disposal.

A pool will also help you get that needed exercise, since you can do 30 laps every morning or after work, free of charge. Swimming can burn up to 570 to 900 calories per hour. That's more than the approximate of 600 calories an hour of running can get rid of. With swimming, you don't have to deal with that uncomfortable sweaty feeling or have to subject yourself to public display. Considering that a treadmill costs around $315, it would make more sense to get cheap above ground swimming pools instead, and take advantage of its other possible purposes - the third being a good side business or social attraction.

With a pool in place, you can host pool parties every weekend for your friends and family. You can have them bring the beer and barbeque, and you could spend the evening dancing and swimming away. As an alternative, you could also open up your place to your neighbors for a fee. The parents living next to you would appreciate a safer and more affordable recreational alternative for their children when they are out of school. At $5 to $10 per head, you'll be able to earn back the money you spend on pool supplies.

Lastly, a pool will also be an excellent resale attraction if ever you intend to move to another place. You could probably end up with more than what you spent for it, since the house's features will also be included in the price.

Having a pool in your own house can both be an exciting and frightening aspiration - exciting, because of all the fun things you can do with it, and frightening, due to the fact that you may incur a huge amount of expenses. But when it comes to getting a recreational facility installed in your backyard, money doesn't need to be an issue. There are cheap above ground swimming pools being retailed today, and for as little as $150 to $1000, you can actually get yourself brand new backyard swimming pools any time minus the hassle of construction and high costs.

Fine Tuning Your Swimming Pool's Chemistry

Swimming pools can be attractive and can add value to your home. A properly installed pool looks beautiful at first, but poor maintenance can erase all the good looks. It's a waste of money to set up a swimming pool and just let it go murky. Regular maintenance may be tiresome, but a one-time and major cleanup can be even more annoying. Pool maintenance is possible with general checkup and cleaning, both requiring use of swimming pool equipment.

One of the tricky things about maintenance is checking the water chemistry. Note that while the filtration system does much of the work in maintaining good water condition, tweaking the water chemistry is the key to making your pool suitable. Chemical balance is important to keep the growth of microorganisms and the production of harmful chemicals. Certain water conditions favor proliferation of bacteria and other pathogens. At the same time, poor chemistry can also be a sign of inadequate filtration and chlorination systems.

There are signs that indicate poor water chemistry-cloudy water, discoloration and chlorine smell. If you suffer from skin and eye irritation after swimming, this is an indication that the chemistry should be checked.

Eliminate the pathogenic agents.

Chlorine is the most popular disinfecting agent. Although chlorine gas may be used, commercial pool disinfecting agents are in the form of calcium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite, the same active ingredient your household bleach has. When a hypochlorite compound is added to water, hypochlorous acid is yielded. This weak acid kills bacteria. Bromide compounds can also be used to disinfect the liquid.

Is chlorine the culprit?

Pool chemistry is largely affected by the amount of chlorine in the liquid. If you paid attention during your high school chemistry class, you would remember that hypocholorous acid is unstable and easily decomposes, especially when exposed to ultraviolet light of the sun. It also reacts with other substances. A stabilizing agent can be added to chlorinators to prevent formation of other chlorine compounds. An example is cyanuric acid, which also keeps hypochlorous acid from easily decomposing upon exposure to the sun. However, it is a common practice among pool owners to chlorinate the water at night to get the best desired effect.

What happens if hypochlorous acid combines with other chemicals?

Hypochlorous acid is supposed to kill bacteria and not react with other compounds. It may react with compounds like ammonia (found in urine) to form chloramines. Chloramines no longer disinfect your pool. Worse, they are irritants, as they cause eye and skin irritation. So, when you suffer from skin irritation, it's not directly because of the chlorine present in the water, but because of the byproducts of chlorine. That unpleasant smell can be attributed to the presence of chloramines. Chloramines can be eliminated by shock treating the pool. This is done by the application of strong pool chemicals to remove organic compounds in the liquid.

What about water pH?

Water pH is one thing that you should not miss. It should be at 7.2, but a range up to 7.6 is tolerable. Test the pH regularly using test kits. Small amounts of hydrochloric acid can be added if its pH is too high. Tests can be done every 6 hours to ensure that the pH level is at the best possible. Adding borate to water stabilizes its pH to some extent.

Yoga and Your Most Valuable Commodity

How are you managing your most valuable commodity?

It has been a wild ride these last few weeks - 7 cities in 8 weeks. Then all the added things like a sister who has stage 5 cancer, a 93 year old father who has decided he wants to take back managing his finances, throw in wasp nests of many styles including the real thing, a web guy can't call him a master good heart but missed changing my e-mail link with PayPal and that means no sales they all go out into the abyss. Ahhhh. Thank God for the breath. I so know I am not the only one with a few challenges these days. What to do?

Time to know that we all are a mixture of dark and light. It's all about where you put your time and energy to build, define, refine. What helps us do that is the deal and it needs to be fast these days. It's can't take 2.5 hours anymore. It needs to change our energetic states on the spot.

Actually there is the full-length version. What you do first thing in the AM and how you arise set your mindset and your connections. What do you do during the day to rejuvenate yourself and bring back to neutral, non-reactive? I have some tricks to share.

After 40 years of teaching yoga and meditation, doing healing work, running businesses and building communities I have a few tricks to share. Are you open to utilizing them?

1. I keep my yoga mat next to my desk so I just take mini breaks during the day. 2. I exercise every day. A 30 minute swim or roller blade plus some yoga every day. 3. I pay attention and eat when hungry. Some days very little and others graze all day. 4. What I eat is as important as when and how. What do you need to be eating? 5. Alkaline is all it's pumped up to be. It keeps you young and alive. What is alkaline? Google it. 6. Sometimes a moving meditation will balance your brain, and connect head with heart.

Hunched over your desk, not breathing is not a way of life, it is a way of death. Are you dying? What are you doing to live? My father asked me "What are you doing to have fun?" I told him the things I was doing and that I love most of what I get to do and who I get to do it with. This is the life I want for each of you.

I will not tell you that if you do this you will never get tired but I will tell you that you will have more energy because you are source-connected. It is the key to co-creation.

Connect first thing in the morning and keep bringing yourself back to that connected state. Try this for reconnection.

Three Part Forward Bend - The Brain Fountain of Youth

Stand with legs wide open. The stiffer you feel, the wider you should spread the legs.

Bend over and place the fingertips on the floor right under the shoulders. Bend the knees if necessary. When inhaling, lift trunk and head parallel to the floor. Exhale in three-parts, lowering head and trunk towards the floor in three equal parts.

1-2 minutes

Gift

This pumping motion activates the spinal fluid up and down the spine and through the brain. Allows your legs and spine to stretch. The enhanced breath helps release overwhelming feelings.

Let me know how it works for you. Also love to know what you do to get your real energy.

What Is Yoga? Classes, Studios And Styles For Beginners

What is yoga and how do you get started with it? How do you choose from so many styles, studios, classes and levels out there now. If you are new to yoga and wanting to learn the basic of the poses then consider taking a class for beginners. There are many styles to choose from depending if you want a vigorous, moderate, gentle, meditative or therapeutic style and if you want how to yoga poses.

If yoga for weight loss is your goal, then the vigorous styles such as vinyasa, power, flow hot, or Bikram are your best choices. These will be very physically demanding and the instructor often just call out the names of poses without explaining how to get into them properly.

The instructors also don't offer modifications if you have past injuries, surgeries of physical conditions that will limit your practice or range of motion such as arthritis or a herniated disc. Hot yoga such as Bikram is not for the faint of heart and will add another level of difficulty to a demanding practice. Because of the challenging nature of these styles of yoga, they are not ideal choices if you are unfamiliar with yoga unless you are an athlete and in prime physical condition already. Most injuries come from these kinds of styles of yoga due to their aggressive nature and lack of modifications.

The more moderate styles such as hatha yoga can range from challenging to accessible depending on your athletic ability and range of flexibility. Hatha yoga is usually the standard taught at most yoga studios in the US. You will find many of the classical poses here such as warrior, down-dog, cobra, plank and chair pose. There is not a lot of variation in these classes and if you are looking for a challenging practice without it being overwhelming then it might be an appropriate choice for some beginners. There is not a lot of modifications in these classes so if you have injuries or limiting physical conditions such as knee or wrist problems then it is not an ideal choice.

If you have injuries or limitations but still want a challenging practice then an Iyengar class is ideal. Iyengar teachers have the most rigorous standards for their teacher training in terms of their knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy. They have superior knowledge with working with students with a range of conditions such back pain or tendinitis. If you are new to yoga, make sure to go to a level one class.

If you want a gentle, more meditative style or are suffering from anxiety, insomnia, cancer or depression, restorative yoga is an ideal choice. This will not be a workout the way some of the other styles of yoga are but you will be passive in many of the poses with a lot of props such as bolsters and blocks which will help the body to release deeply embedded patterns of tension and tightness. You won't have to worry about injuries since it is not physically demanding like the other styles of yoga.

Access Situation and Finances to Get Best Landlords Insurance

Landlords insurance is becoming a fad. But there is a reason behind it. Nowadays renting out property is making some financial sense. One can yield a lot of money by letting out the accommodation to another person. Especially in the tough economy, letting a spare house or even a room makes for a wise decision to meet some of the monthly expenses like mortgage or housing costs. So the need to explore the advantages and disadvantages of procuring insurance also arises. The main advantage of obtaining insurance for rented accommodation is that it protects the investments along with the property from unexpected losses. So, various landowners are converting the homeowner policies to some comprehensive policies proffering landlord protection.

Before converting the previous insurance just take a look at some of the important points that can help in finding the best landlords insurance.

• Access the situation: Just like other insurance policies insurance for landlords offers financial security and coverage against the unlikely yet costly events. Different types of insurance cover damage costs arising out of different situations. Property damage coverage is also called peril insurance. Some umbrella policies cover wide range of incidents resulting into the damage of the property. This comprehensive coverage also offers the protection against discrimination or defamation charges. So evaluating the scenario is the most important and primary task which must be done prior to obtaining the policy. • Access finances: Insurance requires some investment on the part of the landlord. So it requires determining the budget of an individual before considering the various options in landlords insurance. Due to some interruption in regular flow of rental income one can face hard times due to shortage of finances. In this situation the insurance becomes very useful thing. On the other hand one can inspect the replacement value or cash value if one is mainly considering it to pay for expensive repairs. One can also take into consideration the role of deductibles that affect the insurance premium in a very healthy way. • Locate an agent: Locate an agent as one can get the vital assistance on this stuff. Procure information on the landlord insurance from an agent. This way one can compare the information gathered from various agents to find out the affordable yet functional policies.

Thus one can access the personal needs and finances and then can procure the information from the agent to point out the most suitable landlords insurance.

Home Inventory Professional - Licensed and Certified

When searching for a qualified service professional, do you often ask if they are licensed and/or certified? Many industries require licensing and some require certification. Some are required to be both - or at least it is expected of them, and you wouldn't consider hiring one without those two labels.

Not so in the home and business inventory industry. Neither is required, or expected. There is no official licensing - period, even though some make that claim! Possibly they're licensed in another profession (home inspection, for example), but being licensed in the home inventory industry? No such thing!

Now, certification is another story. Just as with licensing, certification is not required nor given a blessing by any of the powers that be in the business or legal world. Certification can be very loose. Anyone can create a certification program and claim they have the certification for that industry. However, that is their take on their program. That doesn't make it bad. It doesn't make it the best. It just is what it is.

So, "Why?" you ask (I'm assuming you're asking), are we as a home inventory professional and also owner of a home inventory turnkey business package, certified, when none is required by law?

There is a perception of excellence by the public when someone is certified. There is a sense of being "better" when there are initials following someone's name. Other professional inventory service providers are getting certified, and since we consider our program and product to be tops in our industry, we felt it was our responsibility to provide the opportunity for all of our group members to achieve a certification as well.

Certification, according to Wikipedia, "is a designation earned by a person to assure qualification to perform a job or task." As with most certifications where it is not required by law, there is no "anointed grand poo-bah" who blesses those of us in the industry who have chosen to be certified. What achieving certification does, however, is demonstrate a desire to be considered one of the best, one who cares about their customers, one who seeks excellence, and one who wants to represent himself or herself in a brighter light as a leader in the industry.

Is one certification better than another? No, I don't think so. We chose to be certified by the National Inventory Certification Association because of their policy regarding confidentiality and respect for each individual company's intellectual property. This fits better with our organization since we guarantee confidentiality and proprietary information for our Group Members - one reason they purchase the turnkey package. The NICA allows us to honor that.

Are others as good as NICA? I would guess the answer to that is, "Yes." Actually, I believe that certification is as good as the members of the organization, not the other way around.

So, should you ask if someone is licensed? Definitely - and if they say yes, that will tell you exactly what you want to know about them - then run!

Should you ask if they are certified? Again, definitely! This tells you that they spent time and money learning the industry and passing a test, and agree to abide by the ethics the certifying company posts on their website.

Medical Billing and Coding - Where Can I Get A Job As A Medical Biller Or Billing Specialist?

If you're thinking about getting a job in the medical billing and coding field with or without training you may be wondering what kinds of businesses or companies would be hiring you. First of all if you have training already you're far ahead of the game. Certainly you can get a job in this field without billing and or coding training through courses or programs but by getting training online or on your local campus you will be more assured in getting a job. With this education and/or training you'll get a higher salary or start at a higher hourly rate.

The kinds of companies or business or practices that could hire you include not only medical billing services but many other small businesses and also home-based businesses that are looking for help. Often people get training on the job because they're willing to move from a job in the company they are already with to train in-house for that position. That makes it easy.

But what if you don't? The kinds of companies other than billing services that are looking for medical billers, medical billing specialists, medical insurance specialists, medical coders, and medical billing assistants and from a long list of other titles often pinned to that job.

These companies and facilities include: small to medium-sized or large doctor's offices or clinics including family practitioners, providers for geriatric or pediatric services, chiropractors, naturopaths, osteopaths, oncologists, obstetricians, proctologists and podiatrists.

There are mental health professional clinics, psychiatrists, psychologists and dentists in small, medium or large clinics. Don't forget nursing homes, assisted living centers, social workers, ambulance services, pharmacists, home health practitioners, durable medical equipment providers and even providers of bionic body parts!

Simply in this job description you would be billing and receiving reimbursement from insurance companies, working with patients, insurance companies and your employer. If you were a medical coder you would be coding instead of billing, which has to be done before forms are sent on to a biller. In some cases you may be working in both capacities as a medical insurance specialist.

There is plenty of money available to help anyone who decides to enter the medical billing and coding fields. Often this is not commonly known. There is money in the way of financial aid through the federal government. There are scholarships and grants. There is money set aside to help finance online courses in medical billing or any other field of study through the federal government as well. So if this is an area you think you might enjoy, the salaries are good and are worth checking out further.

Shooting the Perfect YouTube Video Part 2 of 2

In part 1 of this article I covered why shooting good quality YouTube videos is essential if your business wants to increase conversions. I outlined some handy camcorder filming tips which will help you to improve the quality of your online video. In this article I will outline some more of these tips which will help you on your way to shooting the perfect YouTube video.

Avoid shooting in the bright sun

If you are shooting a video in the middle of the day then this can result in some not so nice shadows. It would be far better to line up your shoot sometime in the morning or later in the afternoon when the bright rays of the sun have subsided somewhat. This will lessen the effects of shadows. However, if you absolutely must shoot your video in the middle of the day then make sure you head for an area where there is some shade.

An external microphone is better

One problem with the internal microphone on some, not all camcorders is the noise from the camera motor. If this is picked up then you really won't be pleased to hear this noise in the background of your finished video. An external microphone will produce better results for you. If your microphone has a windshield or pop up filter then this will help to mask the sound of the wind. Some camcorders have what is known as a wind cut feature which will do pretty much the same thing if you do not have a windshield on your microphone.

Shoot more not less

Have you ever played back your finished video and wished you had more footage of a particular scene? I know it's happened to me on a few occasions and there's not a lot you can do in these situations. I always advise to shoot a little bit more of a scene you consider to be special. Then when you come to edit the video you have plenty of footage to play with.

Shoot related scenes to the subject

If you are filming someone at a location you consider of interest, then shoot scenes of the location as well as the subject. For example if you are filming a person in San Francisco then take shots of the trams, the Golden Gate Bridge etc, to add professionalism as well as realism to the scene.

Keep the camcorder battery charged

Keep a close eye on the battery level of your camcorder. You do not want to find the camera dies on you just when you have found something of interest to film. Charge the battery fully the day before you aim to start shooting.

Have enough tapes, memory or hard disc space

It is all too easy to keep pressing the record button on the camcorder. The problem is video takes up a lot of space, this is especially the case if your camcorder has a built in hard drive or memory card. A few seconds of video can eat quickly into your storage capacity. Make sure if you are using a hard disc camcorder that you download your footage to your computer. You can then delete these scenes from your camcorder and free up more recording space, knowing you have them backed up on your computer. If you are using memory cards you can do the same, but also have a spare memory card available. If you are using digital tapes then ensure you have a good supply of these at hand.

Conclusion

I hope that the tips I have given in part 1 and part 2 of this article will help you on your way to creating great looking YouTube videos. The better the video, the higher the number of subscribers you will get, which can only be good for your conversions.

So if it happens that the real value of the repair of your car is more than $5000.00 then the insurance service provider will simply pay the real value of the car.

you have to make sure your auto insurance service provider is not in full control of the real market value of the car, normally an organization like the AA will always provide an impartial market value.

concerning third party insurance policy, the insurance service provider will almost attempt to limit the amount they will pay out to you, but in general terms, comprehensive insurance policy will always have a higher limit.

Recreation Vehicle -

A recreation vehicle often requires its own insurance, a Recreation vehicle insurance is quite different from the basic auto insurance. You should not assume that because your car has a comprehensive insurance, so is your recreation vehicle as well.

Other Types of auto insurance

Medical, Personal Injury protection and no fault cover - This insurance will cover the medical expense for you and your passengers in case you got involved in a collision.

The insurance service provider under the no fault cover insurance policy will pay you regardless of who is at fault in the accident. This provides you the peace of mind for your family and friends.

Personal Injury protection is often a minimum requirement that is practiced in some states or countries, you can ask your insurance service provider what are the requirements in your state. Underinsured /Uninsured motorists' insurance coverage - This policy offers protection to the policyholders if the person at fault is underinsured or not insured at all. It is advisable to ask your insurance service provider what will be your charges in case you got involved in such a situation. Normally the insurance provider should not charge you some extra premiums.

Rental reimbursement, towing and labor - This extra coverage often given with a comprehensive insurance are considered as specials by auto insurance companies.

So in case your car got damaged the insurance service provider will pay you for rental cost for only couple of day. They can also offer to pay for the towing of your vehicle but not always included in the policy. You can also inquire from your insurance company what is included in the cover.

The legal requirements.

Most countries and sometimes states will require a certain level of cover ranging from full comprehensive auto insurance to a third party auto insurance.

However, in most cases, it is normally up to you as the driver to ensure that your insurance service provider offers you the minimum required you deserve. In most cases they are not under any obligation to instruct you of the requirements.

Your Auto Insurance And Your Teenager

The data about teenage drivers are not very good. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) state that people whose age is 16 are involved in traffic accidents nearly six times more often than drivers whose ages are between the ages of 30 and 59. This is the reason that car insurance premiums are much higher for this age group.

The good news is that some auto insurance companies do not take the same negative view of young drivers as stated by the IIHS. Some of these auto insurance companies offer discounts that to assist in helping you cut costs. A point to remember: high risk = higher insurance premiums. Use this measuring principle as you look around for insurance.

Here are some recommendations to assist you in keeping your insurance premiums lower and hopefully your teenager's driver's license free from violations:

· Assist your teenager in learning the traffic laws and how to correctly follow them. The first and easiest way to keep your insurance premiums at their lowest is for your teen to keep his/her driving record clear from traffic violations. You as their parent should know and understand what the traffic laws for your state are and help your kids to follow them.

· Be a good example. Ask yourself these questions: Do you speed or drive in a reckless manner? Do you find yourself yelling at other motorists while you are driving? If your answer is yes to these questions it will be difficult to expect any different from your teens. Make it habit while behind the wheel to demonstrate how to drive with patience and how to observe and follow the traffic laws of your state. A point to remember: your actions speak louder than your words.

Add your teen driver on your policy. Instead of having a single policy on your teen driver, add them to your policy as an additional driver. This will pass on any discount that is currently on your policy to them. Register them in a driver education course. There are discounts available for teen drivers who take certain driving classes. Before you do this call your insurance company to find the best courses to enroll in, this will save you from paying big bucks for a course that may not be acceptable. Boycott the sports. Sometimes parents may try to live vicariously through their teenager by buying them the hot/fast sports car that they couldn't get in when they were the same age. Focus on getting your teen driver a clean, reliable and safe vehicle in doing so you will get lower premiums. This tactic will also diminish the temptation for your teen to drive fast. Get them to pitch in. Explain to your teen driver that auto insurance costs money and how it is in the family's budget. Provide them the opportunity to assist in chores to help cut the costs associated with their car insurance. If nothing else this tactic may allow them to feel you are treating them like an adult. Communicate the dangers of drinking and driving. This in itself is a tough topic to discuss especially to a teenager who already feels like they have everything figured out and under control. Just take some time and explain to them how this issue is of great importance to their and others safety. Use traffic school to if needed. If your teen driver does get a ticket on his/her license, encourage them to attend traffic school to keep the violation and points against their license removed. Take a ride with them. Your teenager may have been a safe driver last year when they obtained their license however don't assume that bad driving habits have not slipped in since then. So jump in the care with them and take a ride to the store, the movies, etc. This will give you a great opportunity to observe their driving habits in a non-confrontational way. If you see them breaking some good driving habits then point it out in a diplomatic way. More importantly praise them for the good driving even more.

If you can implement some of these ideas, you will find it easier to make it through the teenager driving years safely. This will also keep your auto insurance premiums from being a 800 pound gorilla in the room.
